over. Two weeks worth of travelling, 7000km, and 7000 photos. Sharing 500
shots, from all over the beautiful South Island.

July 2006, around Auckland City.
| Recent Shots | - Recent

individual page. Camera has now done over 50,000 images, but have just been
slow and lazy in updating.
| South Head (Auckland) | -
Photos from South Head, located 100km or so from Auckland City.. This drive
is around the Manukau Harbour, and has some impressive views from high in
the hills
| Rotorua | - A high
geothermal activity area. Full of geysers, sulphur, Maori crafts and shows.
Another must see tourist destination!
| Paihia & Whangarei Falls | -
Paihia is located in the Bay of Islands, a Northern holiday retreat. It's
right next door to Waitangi, a place of cultural significance in New
Zealand. Whangarei falls is in... well Whangarei.
| Wellington | -
Capital City of New Zealand. Population is much less than Auckland. Known as
the Windy City.. Where winds are often over 50km/h. City is on top of a
major fault line, meaning an earthquake could very easily cause severe
damage. Hills all around the city, provide nice views of the harbour, and
Cook Strait
| Brisbane & Surfer's
Paradise, Australia | - A favourite holiday destination for many Kiwis.
Brisbane is rather similar to Auckland, and there's also the theme parks and
golden sand beaches. These shots were taken between 20th Feb 2005 and 1st
March 2005.

| Coromandel | - Full
of dramatic scenery, and golden sand beaches stretching around the long
coastline. A perfect summer getaway!

notorious for it's rips and holes, it's patrolled by life guards from
October - April each year.
| Muriwai | - A West
Auckland beach, not too far North of Piha. Muriwai features a gannet colony
on top of the cliffs at the Southern end of Muriwai. There is also 4WD
access for the more adventurous type.
| Waipoua Forest | -
Located around 45min North of Dargaville. Famous for it's very large native
Kauri trees, such as Tane Mahuta, which is over 50m tall.
| Raglan | - Another West Coast surf beach, famous for it's very long
left-hand surf break. Surf board rides, can last up to 10 minutes!
|
Mount Maunganui | - With an excellent surf beach that stretches South
through Papamoa, the "Mount" is a popular holiday resort. The Mount itself,
